SII Scholarship to Study in India

SII Scholarship stands for Study in India Scholarship. SII Scholarship is special grants or waiver for international students to pursue higher education at top-ranked Indian colleges and universities. To ensure quality education for foreigners the Government of India introduced SII Scholarship in 2019 under the Ministry of Human Resource Development-MHRD.

Indian higher education institutions holding a minimum score of 3.26 out of 4.00 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council-NAAC, NIRF top 100 in any category, Institute of Eminence or Institute of National Importance can be a member of Study in India Program.

The benefit of the Study in India Program
International students will get the maximum benefit from the Study in India Program. Firstly, they can easily find quality higher education institutions in India from the Study in India member list. Secondly, they can apply for up to USD$ 3500 scholarship per year under the Study in India Scholarship Scheme. Thirdly, international students may get fully funded higher education in India under the Study in India Scholarship Scheme. Yearly tuition fee, accommodation, and food costs at many Indian universities may cover within USD$3500. That means students will get quality higher education free of cost.

How to apply for Study in India Scholarship
The application process is very easy and simple. Visit the website https://www.studyinindia.gov.in/. Click on sign up. Complete the registration process. An auto-generated email has been forwarded to the email address used during the registration process. Now check your email address and click on the verification option. The applicant will be automatically redirected to the login page. Use your email address as the ID and put the password in the password option. Complete the application process following the steps in the Dashboard.

An applicant may select three universities and three subjects from the list. However, 1st university in the selection process will be given preference.

Application Fee
Every applicant will have to pay USD$ 2 as the application fee. The application fee can be paid using an International Debit or Credit Card.

Selection Process
From 2020, Study in India will conduct a INDSAT examination for selecting real scholars. Applicants will have to appear a 90 minutes INDSAT examination. The date and time of INDSAT examination will be sent to the applicants' email address.

Admission Process
After the INDSAT examination, qualified candidates will receive an admission letter from the institution. With the admission letter, they can apply for a visa. Every terms and condition will be mentioned in the admission letter.
