SSC and equivalent exam 2018 | Two million plus examinee attends tomorrow

More than two million examinees are going to appear Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations tomorrow.

In a press briefing, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid today disclosed that a total of 20,31,899 students, including 10,23,212 boys and 10,08,687 girls, are set to sit for the examinations from 28,551 educational institutions this year.

In 2017, the total number of participants were 17,86,613. Among them 9,10,501 were boys and 8,76,112 were girls.

The examinations will be held from 10 am at 3,412 centers across the country. Of them, 1964 centers for SSC examinees, 707 centers for Dakhil examinees and 741 centers for vocational examinees.

In 2018, 16,03,078 students will sit for the SSC examination under eight general education boards, while 2,89,772 for Dakhil exam under the Madrasah Education Board and 1,14,779 for vocational exam under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board.

The written examinations will end on February 24 while the practical exams will begin on February 26 and will end on March 4, 2018.

The examinees have to enter their respective exam halls at least 30 minutes before the exams begin, no excuse will be accepted in this regard, said the Minister.
