Sharda Alumni is creating ripples of Innovation

Rohith Kumar Polishetty is the latest name from India to make his mark in the Silicon Valley. The eager-beaver started his career with a successful stint at Google, bagging a decent position and emolument at the Sundar Pichai led company. The engineering has now joined Hortonworks, California, turning heads and rightly so! A computer science engineer, his core competency lies in Machine Learning and Applications.

The citation that earned him entry into the hallowed galaxy of future-focused engineers includes “A next-generation secure cloud-based deep learning license plate recognition for smart cities.” The citation was included in the 15th edition of the International Conference on Machine Learning and Applications (ICMLA) held in Miami, Florida.

It is a matter of immense pride that young Indians like Rohith are rising above the horizons, giving their valuable contribution in the field of interactive technologies.

Hired by the American IT major Hortonworks as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Polishetty has bagged a hefty pay package of $120,000 (approx INR 78,00,000) p.a.

He earned his degree in B.Tech Computer Science Engineering from the School of Engineering and Technology, Sharda University, Greater Noida. Later, he completed his MS in Computer Science at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
