Self financing scheme to study in India

Self Financing Scheme (SFS) to Study in India under the academic session 2018-19 has been announced by the Government of India on March 14, 2018. Eligible Bangladeshi nationals are invited to apply Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B Tech), B Pharmacy, MBBS, BDS and B Arch programs within April 29, 2018.  

Eligibility for BE or B Tech
Minimum 60 percent aggregate marks with at least 60 percent in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics separately and 50 percent in English in the qualifying examination.

Eligibility for MBBS or BDS
Minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks with at least 50 percent in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology & Botany) separately and 50 percent in English in the qualifying examination. Minimum 50th Percentile in NEET. 

Eligibility for B Pharmacy
Minimum 60 percent aggregate marks with at least 60 percent in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) separately and 50 percent in English in the qualifying examination.

Eligibility for B Arch 
Required to pass the Aptitude Test by Council of Architecture.

The selection of candidates for MBBS or BDS will be purely on the basis on scores of NEET 2018. For further details please click here

Equivalency certificate
An equivalency certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi to be submitted. AIU may be consulted in this regard. Click here to visit AIU website.

The candidates applying under Self Financing Scheme (SFS) will have to submit the following-

  • Four complete sets of the duly filled up application form
  • Four copies of recent photograph duly attested by High Commission at prescribed places in the application
  • Attested copies of candidate’s certificates, marks sheets with percentage of marks of qualifying examination (certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi that the candidate’s qualifying examination is equivalent to 10+2 standard of CBSE in India)
  • Four attested copies of first four pages of the passport, citizenship certificate, birth certificate and character certificate from the Head of institution last attended attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs Government of Bangladesh and High Commission of India, Dhaka.
  • NEET 2018 score for MBBS or BDS only

The last date for receipt of the application is on April 29, 2018 at Education Wing, High Commission of India, House No.1-3, Park Road, Baridhara, Dhaka 1212. Only ink signed copies of the applications with original photographs pasted and attested by the Mission would be accepted. The candidates are required to be present their original certificates for verification at the time of submission of their application forms in person. Selected candidates are required to comply with admission formalities, fee structure and procedures of respective colleges/ Universities, including medical tests in India.
