The government will extend support to overall development of the Qaumi Madrasa Education in the country, said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. "Our aim is to ensure education for all, and to achieve the goal, there is no scope to leave behind any part of the society," she assured Islamic scholars today.

PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed reporters that The prime minister gave the assurance when leading alems of qaumi madrasas led by Maulana Ashraf Ali called on her at her Jatiya Sangsad Office here this noon.

The prime minister said that a huge number of students are pursuing study in qaumi madrasas and they should be brought to the mainstream of the education.

The alems thanked the prime minister for giving recognition to top Qawmi madrasa degrees as equivalent to post-graduate degrees.

"This is an epoch-making and historical decision ... this will remain written in golden letters in the pages of history," they said.
