Physiotherapy Admission with Scholarship at SRM University

SRM College of Physiotherapy was started in the year 1993 with Undergraduate program, and in the year 1999 a Postgraduate program was started with affiliation to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. In the year 2004, the college was brought under the ambit of SRM University. The College currently offers Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Master of Physiotherapy and Ph.D programs affiliated to SRM University which is located in an extensive and beautiful SRM University campus at Kattankulathur.

The College has good infrastructure facilities including various laboratories, like Exercise therapy lab, Electrotherapy lab, Massage and Manipulation lab, Biomechanics lab, Community Physiotherapy lab and Post Graduate Research lab with upgraded equipment to provide hands on training and research activities to the students. Comprehensive medical care is provided by the 1200 bedded SRM Medical College Hospital for the students.

Memorandum of Understanding

MoU with KEELE University, United Kingdom, for Student and Faculty Abroad Program.

MoU with La Trobe University, Australia, for Student and Faculty Abroad Program and to utilize the expertise to establish a Gait Lab at SRM.

MoU with National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD), Muttukadu, Chennai, to provide Physiotherapy service to differently abled persons in the Community and for mutual facilitation of Research.

Outreach Clinical Services
The College has tie-ups to provide free Physiotherapy Care and Rehabilitation Service at:

Maithree – A Special School for Spastic Children, Tambaram, Chennai, run by parents of the children.

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) Centre, Numgambakkam, run by Corporation of Chennai.
