MGIMO University, Russia will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dhaka University soon for faculty, students, publications, textbooks and research materials exchanges between the two universities.
Mr. Alexander Ignatov, Russian Ambassador to Bangladesh and Director of Russian Center of Science and Culture in Dhaka Mr. Alexander P. Demin and Attache of the Embassy Ms. Ekaterina Tyurina said to Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman on, January 28, 2018 during a courtesy meeting at Dhaka University VC Office.
The Russian envoy discussed various matters of mutual interest with the Dhaka University VC. They exchanged views regarding how to strengthen the existing friendly ties between Bangladesh and Russia.
Russian Ambassador informed DU VC that Russia would give about 700 rare books on various subjects including literature, culture, history and science to Dhaka University very soon. Such type of collaboration specially with Dhaka University would be enhanced.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor thanked the delegation for their visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in providing help and cooperation on academic and research activities of Dhaka University.
