Why JIS College of Engineering?

Established in 2000, JIS College of Engineering is declared Autonomous by the UGC, India in 2011. JISCE is the first private autonomous college in West Bengal. The college is affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) formarly known as West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) a state government university. Programs offered at JISCE is accredited by the UGC, India and MAKAUT. 

JIS College of Engineering is located at Satellite Township of Kalyani, Nadia District, West Bengal. The College is 46.5 km away from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata and 24.2 km from Barrackpore. Sprawling over 17.5 acres of land JISCE is the biggest engineering college in West Bengal. 

JIS College of Engineering is approved by AICTE accredited by NAAC with A grade and NBA.

Financial budget 
4-years B Tech study cost at JIS College of Engineering is USD$ 8,400 for SAARC Students and USD$ 12,000 for non SAARC students while 3-years BBA, BCA study cost is USD$ 3,500 for SAARC Students and USD$ 5,000 for non SAARC students. 2-years MBA study cost is USD$ 7200 for SAARC students and USD$ 9,000 for non SAARC students. 

Foundation Program
A 3-months Foundation Program begins at JIS College of Engineering from February 2019. Foundation Program fee is INR 46,500 including tuition and hostel fees with food. 

Admission Eligibility 
International students wishing to study at JIS College of Engineering must book their seat well in advance. Classes usually begin in July each year. 

For admission into the B Tech programs applicant must have at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and  Mathematics (PCM) in qualifying exam.  
For BBA and BCA admission, an applicant must have at least 60% marks in qualifying exam.
For MBA admission, an applicant must have at least 55% marks in qualifying exam.  

When to apply 
Application usually begins in December each year and closes shortly upon fulfillment of seats. We suggest international students apply from December to February to reserve a seat. We also suggest students apply in January or the 1st week of February to avail the Foundation Program along with the main program.

Please download the application form from the college website. Fill up the form accordingly. Paste a color photograph. Scan the filled up application form and send back to the email address along with all supporting documents like- Secondary and Higher Secondary Transcripts and a copy of passport.
