4th year students of the department of Civil Engineering of Dhaanish Ahmed College of Engineering (DACE), Chennai were taken to Kundah and Pykara dam located at Ooty in Nilgiri district as part of their Industrial visit.
During the visit, the Assistant Engineer of the dam explained the power generation process taking place in the dam.They have learnt how the dam structure is maintained. the water capacity is maintained and the structure of the dam is restored if any repair is found. Also the regular inspection works that is done in the plant is also explained to the students.
Vising the dam students learned many practical things. The students were taken plant tour by the officials to look into the components of the dam and power generation process. Industrial visit is routine work for all engineering students at Dhaanish Ahmed College of Engineering (DACE).
DACE is affiliated with Anna University one of the best public university in Tamilnadu, India.
