University Institute of Media Studies (UIMS) in collaboration with Chandigarh University offering the course named Bachelor of Arts- Journalism and Mass Communication under the academic session 2017-18, which promotes, nurtures and develops creative and effective communicators and managers in the exhilarating field of mass communication. Eligibility:

Student must have at least 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2=12-years of schooling or in the completion of 12th Standard examination (In case of SC/ST category 45%) with 55% marks in English as subject from any stream, conducted by a recognized Board, to be enrolled for this course.

Scholarships Opportunity:

For this course, Chandigarh University is offering up to 35% scholarships opportunity to the students from Bangladesh and SAARC territory, who have 90% or above marks in aggregate from any discipline.

Admission Procedure:

  1. Student at first have to meet up the eligibility criteria to get admission.
  2. Then the admission form needs to fill up by the student accordingly.
  3. Next step is to scan all academic certificates and transcripts and send back to this e-mail address (For Bangladeshi student, residing outside Dhaka): cunibd@gmail.com
  4. A provisional offer letter will be issued to the applicant by the university upon receiving this duly filled up admission form and all academic papers.
  5. An advance deposit INR 40, 000 should be paid by the applicant to confirm seat at Chandigarh University, which will be deducted from 1st year’s tuition fees.
  6. After payment of that deposit money, university will issue the final acceptance letter to the applicant.
  7. The applicant now can lodge visa application procedure. Chandigarh University Information Center in Bangladesh will assist the applicant regarding visa application.
  8. Once an applicant get visa, pre-departure counseling will be given by the Chandigarh University Information Center in Bangladesh.
  9. Chandigarh University Information Center in Bangladesh now will assist the applicant about confirming the applicant’s travel ticket with minimum cost.
  10. Now the applicant can plan the journey to Chandigarh University.
  11. If a student need airport pick up, Chandigarh University Information Center in Bangladesh will arrange that.
  12. Finally, an applicant can now join to the Chandigarh University and enjoy education.
